Rodeo Rally- full day of Western activities

The Lytle Elementary Rodeo Rally was a big success today on campus as children and staff from grades 2-5 participated in rodeo/western themed lessons and activities to celebrate the kickoff of the San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo this week.

The morning started off with a staff and faculty "Cowboy Breakfast" put on by a special group of parents and the day progressed with some of the following activities in the classroom and outside on the playground:  Guest Cowboy readers and Western library book selections, brand design and creation, Cowboy karaoke, line dancing, scooter barrel racing, a Math rodeo incorporating measurements of time, distance and probability and a live roping demonstration and rodeo career discussion by Lytle High School students Trenton Smith and Colton Muse, current Texas High School Rodeo student-athletes.
